Think you’re ready to try a tiny home? Whether you’re looking to add an Additional Dwelling Unit (ADU) as an in-law suite, a space for your adult kid, or to get some extra rental income; or if you’re ready to take the plunge and try tiny home living, the process of getting a tiny home set up can be challenging and confusing. We’re here to help.
Think Tiny Homes Northumberland is a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting the entire spectrum of housing, recognizing that solving the housing crisis means embracing homes of all shapes and sizes. We’ve done the legwork to understand what it takes to get a tiny home approved in every Northumberland municipality, and collected the basics here for you. Please keep in mind that provincial and municipal regulations are always subject to change, and that this page is no substitute for having a good conversation with your local planner!

CPN seeks to support sustainability by convening and empowering the efforts of community groups, nonprofits, small businesses, and individuals. As the saying goes, “if you want to go far, go together”; CPN helps us all go farther by bringing us together (and sometimes paying for travel supplies!).
